In an FM-based system the audio information (speaker’s voice, music, etc) is transmitted directly from the source to a lightweight, portable receiver and headset for those in need hearing assistance. This eliminates background noise, distance related volume loss and distortion due to poor acoustics and allows the user to set the volume to suit their hearing needs without impacting others.
