Landmark
Audio Technologies Walkabout Mobile FM Transmitter is an affordable and
effective hearing enhancement solution for tour groups and other mobile
applications. Being heard is the key to
keeping participants engaged and focused during presentations and this can be a
real challenge in mobile applications. Tour guides strain to be heard by
everyone over background noise. Participants crowd uncomfortable close together
to hear the speaker. By the end of the
tour, the guide’s voice is gone and so is your audience’s attention. Bullhorns
and other devices offer poor sound quality and disturb others near by.
The Landmark
Audio Walkabout tour group solution helps save the tour guides voice keeps them
from disturbing others and most importantly keeps the participants engaged and
focused. The tour guide is outfitted with a lightweight, mobile waist-pack Walkabout
FM transmitter and microphone. Each tour participant is given a RadioOrpheus
personal FM receiver with individual volume control and headphones or earbuds.
The tour guides voice is broadcast securely and reliably using FM wireless
technology to the portable receivers and headset sworn by the participants.

 The
Landmark Audio Walkabout Kit includes 1 - Transmitter, 1- Waist pack, 2
- battery packs, 1 - RCA to RCA cable, 1 - antenna, 1 - headset
microphone, 5 - RadioOrpheus receivers, 5 – earbuds headsets.
The transmitter is
carried by the speaker in the lightweight waist-pack. By speaking into
the attached microphone, the sound is transmitted directly to the
participants via headphones attached to the personal receivers. No
longer will anyone miss a presentation because of background noise or
group size.
The Landmark Audio
Walkabout FM Transmitters and RadioOrpheus receivers support multiple
broadcast frequencies allowing several groups to use the system in the
same area without interference. It sets up in minutes, operates on
rechargeable batteries, works up to 300 feet in most environments and
can accommodate any number of users.
It’s an ideal
solution for use in mobile presentations such as tourist attractions,
factory tours, museums, etc. It also makes a great portable / mobile
language interpretation solution.
