Albany County Convention and
Visitors Bureau
The
Albany
Visitors Center, located in Albany, NY, is in the business of providing
guests with useful information about the area. Whether it is for the
planetarium, Hudson River tours or local restaurants and lodging, the
Visitors Center has the task of providing this information for guests.
The center does this by posting signs with business hours and more
signs with local information and even more signs about history of the
area. The problem with all these signs is the accessibility to the
guests and the limited information that can be printed on them.
The
R100B
Transmitter helped fix these problems. Now guests can gain that
information whether the location is open or closed just by driving
through the parking lot with their FM car radios tuned to 99.1. In the
comfort of their own vehicles, visitors can learn about upcoming events
at the Visitors Center, hours of operation and where to eat or sleep
while in town.

Old Songs
Festival
It was a
beautiful Saturday afternoon and 2000 people were gathered for the
annual Old
Songs Festival. Some of the regions best bands were there to perform.
The bands
played until 10 o’clock at night, and the food and drink
flowed. Everything
went smoothly and according to plan. Just the way we like it. We hooked
up a
Landmark S100 transmitter to the Festival's audio system and
retransmitted the
music so that everyone in the vicinity would be able to hear the
original tunes
of bands like the Invincible Scratch Pickles, and Fatty Lumpkin.
Sarah
Mathers and Marie Washington were working backstage and for the first
time in
years of volunteering at the festival, they could enjoy the live music
as well.
“We just turned on the RadioOrpheus receiver they supplied us
and listened to
the whole show. Even though we were constantly busy setting up, cooking
and
cleaning, we didn’t have to miss a single second of the
wonderful live
performances. It was fantastic,” Sarah said |

Calloway
Motors
Jason
Calloway of Calloway Motors had a dilemma. Potential customers were
shopping
his lot when he was closed. The question was how to give potential
buyers the
information that they needed to choose his dealership without a member
of his
sales team meeting them personally?
That was
when he decided to contact Landmark Audio Technologies and learn more
about
short range broadcasting. Calloway created his own radio broadcast
using the
R100B transmitter. "It's perfect for informing customers about
specials,
pricing and events during off hours," says Calloway. "Rather than
hope that those customers will return, I can now broadcast the
information that
they need, guaranteeing that they'll return ready to buy."
The
broadcast is available on their car stereo 24/7 and allows them to shop
and see
inventory at their convenience. Best of all it provides year round
advertising
for an amazingly low price.

House
of Worship
Reverend
John Tesher was faced with a
challenge when he decided to try and get more of his congregation to
hear the Sunday sermon.
He
knew that outside forces, such as vacations, work, and family events
often kept faithful congregants from attending church. Yet Reverend
Tesher felt that an easy solution was just out of his reach…
That’s
when he decided to contact Landmark Audio Technologies, LLC and
learn more about short range broadcasting. Reverend Tesher created his
own radio broadcast using the Landmark S100 transmitter.
“The
transmitter broadcasts during the sermon, serving as an excellent yet
cost effective Assistive listening device.” Says Reverend
Tesher,
“After the service is done, we use it to replay the sermon
and
congregation announcements. Now everyone knows that if they tune into
75.7 FM they’ll get to hear Sunday’s
sermon in perfect audio quality.”
Reverend
Tesher also explained how his church also uses it to rebroadcast choir
concerts, special speakers and guests and other uses as well. Best of
all is that the transmitter hooks up directly into the existing sound
system making broadcasting as easy as putting the plug in the socket.

Twolane Tours
I have been a tour
guide for over 15 years, lecturing about everything from history to
landscapes, contemporary architecture to ancient ruins. One of my
biggest problems is my own ability to project my voice. Noisy
locations, interference from other groups and a continually strained
voice detract from my ability to communicate well.
Landmark Audio
Technologies has designed the perfect solution with the lightweight
Landmark Walkabout mobile transmitter. Now, without effort, I speak
directly to participants. Everyone hears me clearly. If only bad
weather, lost luggage, and bus breakdowns were as easy to solve!
